Denver Zoo is proud to join the Mexican Cultural Center, Telemundo Denver and many of their SCFD counterparts for the 2nd Annual Celebration of “Día del Niño: Celebrating All Children.” As they will be sharing a wide variety of educational videos and activities for children and family.
Join the Denver Zoo on April 30th as they will be celebrating Dia del Niñowith 2 public animal encounters with the llamas at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm that will have live Spanish interpretation. They will be pairing the 1:00 pm llama encounter with a Facebook Live with a Spanish interpreter so that families can tune in even if they aren’t able to visit the zoo that day.
The Denver Zoo will have bi-lingual staff scattered throughout the zoo. They will also have their Nature Play Trail open with bi-lingual learning facilitators. They will have an activity guide available online that families can either download ahead of time, or access the day of at the trail. This is also a great guide for families and caregivers to use at home.
As part of the celebration, the Denver Zoo will offer one free child admission with every adult ticket purchased to families who purchase their tickets online for April 30.
Connect with nature through virtual educational resources: Meet the Animal Ambassadors, 20 Ideas for Nature Play and Aquatic habitats with Mr. Garcia.
