‘Made in Mexico City’ is descending on Zeppelin Station for a colorful tour of the city’s cuisine, art, design and maker community giving Denverites an opportunity to experience our next stop in the ‘Made in a City’ series.

Pick your alebrije specially created by Mexico City-based artist Oscar Becerra Mora and create your own wild and mythical sculpture in this bilingual workshop. Alebrijes are Mexico’s version of the fantastical creatures that are part of the collective imaginations of cultures throughout the world.

Oscar Becerra Mora is a Mexican contemporary artist who has dedicated more than 10 years to the art of cartonería. Cartonería is a relatively modern form of Mexican folk art and is used to create everything from masks to toys to piñatas to monumental alebrijes.

Ticket includes:

  • Alebrije
  • Materials to paint alebrije
  • Small bites from Campobaja
  • A complimentary cocktail (mocktails for the kiddos) from our Limantour menu

One alebrije per ticket. All ages welcome. Parents can team up with kids at no additional cost.

Oscar Becerra Mora es un artista contemporáneo mexicano que ha dedicado más de 10 años al arte de la cartonería. La cartonería es una forma relativamente moderna del arte popular mexicano y se utiliza para crear todo, desde máscaras, juguetes, piñatas y alebrijes monumentales.
